During a very difficult time in my life, I felt the need to run away and ended up at my local bookstore. Not sure what I was searching for I looked up and saw that I was in the Self-Help area, face-to-face with a book on vibrating. Um, no, not that vibrating. Vibrating emotionally into a place of content and gratitude.
I read that when you focus on something you want, a new car, a new house, building your business, that if you focus on IT and really see it: color, shape, you in it, who is there with you, the smell, sounds, how you FEEEL, you will vibrate, physically. When the Universe receives your vibrations and focuses on your images, the wheels are put into motion to bring what you’re vibrating about closer to you until it’s yours.
There is no time limit and no time frame. You don’t have to figure out HOW this goal is going to come into your life, your only job is to be grateful for it and FEEEEL amazing while you’re thinking about it. Make sure that you come from a place of gratefulness and NOT from a place of “want” or “need”. Don’t say, “I want a larger home” or “I need store orders”, envision yourself IN your new home, the rooms, the decor as you would want it or see yourself smiling to a buyer at a large trade show as she’s signing the order form.
It works. I promise. I remember years ago when I would drive back and forth from my children’s school to home, I would travel along this serene road. A farm on one side, homes on another and above was a long canopy of trees that would envelope and transport me to another land. I always felt very happy on this road and looked forward to driving along a particular stretch. One winter the branches were covered in frost and snow and driving along the street was akin to driving through a glittering, shimmering ice tunnel. I was overwhelmed with emotion. I vibrated. I actually FELT my head buzz and my solar plexus engage. I had no idea that I was vibrating, all I knew was that this vision was spectacular. I lost myself in it and was grateful that I could experience it. In fact, I felt great driving down this road at least once a week.
Flash forward three years or so when we were searching for our new home. We looked for months and found a house that had the same interior as the house that I grew up in. It had everything we needed: extra room for an office, over-sized backyard, basement, large rooms, hard wood floors, fireplace…. We bought it and happily moved in. Months later, I was taking my children back and forth to that same school and realized that we had moved to a house located DIRECTLY off of THAT STREET! My street! The street where I vibrated frequently and that had amazed me with its serenity and beauty. I never asked to move there but I guess that my vibrations brought the street to me! I still live there and drive it every single day. I continue to appreciate its beauty and watch the corn grow in the nearby farm every summer.
Vibrating isn’t limited to one’s personal life – it can be used in business as well. Imagine your business. Imagine your studio, office, co workers, the color of the walls, the smells, the view from the windows. Are you located in a bustling city? Overseas? On a lake or ocean? What does your business produce? Are you smiling? Is there music playing? Is the studio/office buzzing? Are there orders coming in on the fax machine? Create your vision and vibrate to it as often as you want to. Oh, and PLEASE don’t just sit back and wait for the Universe to hand you your dream on a silver platter. It won’t unless it sees you participating. You have to continue to work towards your goals and understand that their will be obstacles, but using vibrating PAIRED with daily work towards a goal is a good way to A. feel great when bad days hit and B. bring your goal closer than you could with mindless work, alone.
Vibrating is uplifting and makes you smile. If you have a choice to either vibrate or live in doom and gloom, well, pick vibrating. It’s a cheap thrill and heck, it can’t hurt.
